I would like to get back in to my 5: 2 pattern which has got thrown into disarray by a change in shifts, working overtime and the festive season.

I have been pretty good sticking to the 16:8 schedule. The holidays, of course, means my healthy eating habits have been challenged. Fortunately, I've been able to keep my weight down through fasting. One more holiday party to go, then it's back to my routine! My resolution is to get back to healthy eating, continue fasting, and look for more fun physical activities (I dislike going to the gym for exercise!)

Thanks guys.

Sounds like Christmas has been chaotic for eating for a few of us.

πŸ˜„ At this time of year I tend to indulge in fruit like little sweet clementines, frozen grapes, pomelos and pears. I also love baked potatoes and roast sweet potatoes and carrots 😊 .........not to mention all the obligatory Christmas booze. So from 27th December to the end of January, I feel the need to go very low carb and zero alcohol. It won't be easy but I know it will make me feel hugely better and get me ready for spring.

Dry January. For the direct benefits of stopping drinking, for the calories saved and because a few drinks can make me decide what I really want to do is scoff a packet of crackers after having no grains or starchy vegetables for a fortnight.

Sounds like reducing alcohol will help a few of us with our will-power and goals.
