hello everyone I’m new to this platform. My name is Jeanette and I suffer from chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia and arthritis. I am starting off by not being to hard on myself at present as I am experiencing increasing stress and anxiety at present due to my partner having to undergo treatment for secondary cancer. So with this in mind my option has been to start with a degree of moderation and to improve my eating regime as well as taking some kind of regular exercise if not daily then every other day or upto three times a week . This could involve increasing my walking ie steps to improving my joint pain by stretching and moving my body.

Hi Jeannette and welcome! I am sorry to hear that your partner is having cancer treatment at the moment and completely understand that this must bring extra stress and anxiety.
I love to hear that you are not being hard on yourself - I think that self-kindness goes a lot further in building healthier habits than being hard on yourself. Increasing your steps sounds like a great way to get started - are places with nice scenery nearby where you could walk? Any walking is good, but walking somewhere lovely can be a lovely rest for the brain when it's under stress.
Could you make your walks a self-care time by listening to encouraging podcasts or by walking with a friend for a chat?
I am glad that you are working on taking care of yourself in this stressful time - it isn't always easy but it's so important! Well done!
regular good plan. Keep your eyes on the goal
