Hi  Purp4me and welcome to the EXI community. I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing so much pain in your daily life. It isn't always easy to find ways of being physically active with back knee and foot pain. Are there any low-impact activities that might be easier on your knees and foot which you've tried? Maybe some exercises or stretches you could do while seated to get you started?

My mum has had disc issues before and tried aqua jogging, which is a gentler form of aqua aerobics - she found it was a nice way to get moving and she enjoyed getting to meet the people in her class each week. Maybe  Dr_Lou_EXI has some more ideas!

yes try swapping foods. And try not to choose ultra processed foods.

The main thing is to get active.

Hi type 2 diabetic here 🖐 and I feel your anxiousness regarding needles.I believe there are 3 treatment options for diabetes.

1. Diet controlled where swapping food and drinks foe lower fat/carb and sugar contents can Improve blood glucose levels.

2. Tablet controlled. With medications such as metformin and others help manage your blood glucose.

And then you have. Insulin controlled which is typically the Injections or an Insulin pump.

I fortunately am type 2 and I am diet controlled. So what I would say is don't scare yourself too much with the thought of the needles however use it as a goal to change eating habits and avoid those needles along as you can :)

Hi Purp4me thanks for sharing your challenges so openly. Sarah_EXI has already shared some great ideas on activities that should be more comfortable. Swimming or aqua-based activities can be great for taking weight off of painful joints, while using a lot of muscles, so a great cardio and strengthening exercise. There are some great chair-based workouts you can try. If you like Joe Wicks he does a 10min chair workout: youtube.com/watch?v=X6TtFr2...

And this coach, Caroline, has a whole YouTube channel for seated workouts with lots of different types, so there is bound to be some that work for you. youtube.com/@CarolineJordan

As always, the advice is to try some things and find what works for you, that makes you feel good and doesn't feel like a chore to fit into your day and week. Every minute you are moving will make a difference to your health. Do let us all know how you get on.
