Currently using a Garmin Vivosport but thinking of getting an Apple Watch. I’m not sporty but like to stay fit and want to make a good recovery after my heart attack. Any pros and cons I should consider?

I may be slightly biased and admittedly haven't used a Vivosport, but I love my Apple Watch. Especially after a heart attack, the Apple Watch combined with the EXi App will give you a safe and graduated heart rate zone to be in and tap you if you leave that zone. The fitness side has a heap of other features such ECG, oxygen saturation and heart rate notifications which are really helpful for health and fitness.

Aside from that, the notifications you get for messages, emails are great and lastly I now just have to swipe the watch over the reader on the Underground so don't have to get a card or phone out.

Sales pitch over! But I do love the Apple Watch, but I also know that Garmin are also very good, especially for higher level fitness.

I have a Garmin Instinct and I find it slightly annoying that my runs/walks that I record on that aren’t automatically linked to the EXI app.. I’ve also had difficulty recording g my six no Ute walk 😕

I bought the Apple Watch in the end and it works well with the EXI app. A cardio MRI has since shown that my heart problems seem to have resolved themselves but I’m still monitoring my exercise.

I just don’t want to keep buying things and I’m quite happy with my Garmin 😂
