I have just moved to week three, moderate exercise.
I have noticed the difference and my breathing is laboured but my pulse rate remains in the low scale. Hence the app tells me I am exercising at the low rate and I must work harder.
Any ideas?

Hi, thanks so much for posting this, you've raised a very important point! The research on monitoring exercise intensity shows us that your perceived exertion level (how you are actually feeling when you are exercising - the score out of 10 that you give straight after your exercise on iPrescribe Exercise) is probably a better indicator of how hard you are working than your heart rate is. So I wouldn't be too concerned if your heart rate is showing a lower score - as you say, if you feel like you are working harder, then that is the most important thing. As you continue to get fitter, we would also expect your heart rate to lower slightly.
Thanks again for posting, and good luck with the rest of your program,
Lewis
