Whats the longest disimpaction can go on for before someone will interven
Just been told there's no time frame it will take as long as it takes.im going to try the sweetcorn test to see how long it takes to pass.i just need to figer out how I'm gong to get my daughter to eat it.
The sweetcorn test can be unreliable as it bypass an impaction, just something to be mindful of.
Oh ok ,ERIC said give it ago but I won't bother
Sweetcorn has come through and it's completely liquid
Hey! Can I ask what dose of the sachets your child is on? An for long has it been going on? I'm I'm Northern Ireland an it seems doing 12 sachets isn't recommended for any longer than a few days but reading by a lot of the posts on here disimpactions can last for weeks an weeks. I'm starting to think this is where I'm going wrong an why im going round in circles not staying on higher doses for long enough.
My 5 year old has been on laxido and sodium picosulfate for years but during this disimpaction She has been on 12 sashes for about 2 weeks now total time doing a disimpaction 3 weeks today and still nothing.some days she has a bowel movement otheres nothing which I find odd.i was told after 2 weeks to add the sodium picosulfate for a stimulant but this has not changed a thing. She is really struggling and I'm pulling my hair out
I can totally relate to the frustration your feeling as my son is the same an I've no idea what I'm doing wrong at times. I'm exhausted explaining myself over on over again.. I see no end to it all. My son is getting bloods done this week to check for under lyin causes which I don't think he has but at least it will be ruled out. I'm back at it again with higher doses an nothing is working once again. I've also booked him to get allergy testing just to see if food could possibly be the cause as I'm really not getting any where just using laxitives.
