Disimpaction and dose

My daughter has been with bladder bowel team since she was 6 months old she is 5 now and has never had a solid poo it is ether litte specks of poo or completely runny. She is on lots of medication for this.

She is in the middle of a disimpaction she's at 12 sachets and it's coming up 3 weeks since we started and the only difference is instead of her bowel movement being once every 5 days she is now going every day,the colour smell and consistency is the same.

She has not been offered a scan to check her insides as they think she is holding it in due to her sensory issues.she has disimpactions offten.

My question is what is her maintenance dose.she was on half a sachets because her poos are always like water before disimpaction.

I've been told she will never have a formed poo but Why?

Hoping we will reach disimpaction soon as the time it's taken to clear her out is concerning

Hi, I was told the maintenance dose is normally half of the disimpaction dose. If she's disimpacted on 12 sachets then her maintenance is 6 sachets.

It's worth checking directly with ERIC or your GP.

Do take care.
