Our delayed DS Adam is still withholding his poo in the day for some time now and seems to be comfortable pushing it out into his pocket nappy sometime during the night.
However another issue has now come up that when I go in the morning and change him out of his overnight nappy, he has lately started to tell me in his limited speech that he likes the poo feeling in his nappy, says its warm etc and resists been changed,
Has any body experience this sort of behavior form there DS ?
Any advice would be appreciated.

It sounds as if he may be impacted and needs movicol have you taken him to a gastroenterologist x a visit. My daughter needs disimpaction regularly but as gastroenterologist say is all a matter of routine and they need to seat in toilet x 5 mins at least twice a day even if they don't do anything just to get them used to it. Ask your gp to refer you to gastroenterologist. I feel for you hugs
Leigh in a similar situation with my daughter and I don't like disposables so use terry and plastic pants.. My daughter has reduced sensation due to withholding as she doesn't like the feeling of doing a poo on the toilet preferring to do it in a nappy overnight or in her pants. She witholds untill she can't hold anymore or becomes constipated. When I'm aware she is withholding or constipated I ask her at bedtime if she is going to do it in her nappy. She has said on occasions whilst I'm cleaning her up that she prefers this feeling to that of the toilet
I have had a chat to giul8bruce and she suggested Adam might have impaction so will be making an apointment with our specialist.
As for Adam telling me he likes the feeling of the poo in his nappies, Im thinking its a sensory thing, warm and comforting for him may be so will just go with it and change the nappy without saying any sort of negative comments to him.
