Has anyone had their child on medication for an over active bladder? Does it work and does it stop the accidents completely?

It does help a bit. But as I understand it is not a magic wand. For us tackling everything is helping a bit for our 7yo. Aggressive constipation management, ensuring adequate hydration and oxybutynin is making a difference. Each on their own is not enough. Good luck it's not easy and I have doubted some of this at times but the best news we have at the moment is that our pees are longer. Which for 7 yo boys is a badge of honour. 😉

Thank you! Waiting for an appointment with the continence nurse. Brilliant news on the longer pees. Nobody knows what an achievement that is until they have a child with this problem! My child is small for her age which isn't helping the situation.

My daughter is 5.5 and on 5mg of Oxybutynin twice a day and it is most definitely helping during the day. Still wet a night but going less during the day and no more dribbles when she does go!
