Feeling very frustrated, just over ten days ago my sons paediatrician changed his medication from senna to SP it work straight away he started getting the feeling he needed a poo for the first time ever and was going in the loo for 10 days straight he was going every morning and than not going till the next morning I thought we had finally cracked it he isn’t having 2.5ml if sp which was working really well. Anyway yesterday was horrible he hd ahead is medication at about 3:30 the previous nightwhich I have been doing for 10 days and wasn’t just the right time to give it him . He soiled himself 10 times yesterday I could of cried I even gave him 5 ml last night to make sure he would go this morning but he only went a little probably not surpriseing we went so much yesterday.

School starts again tomorrow was really looking forward to telling School how well his been doing , but ant the minute feel really deflated.

How’s it going now? Have you managed to adjust the dose and get back in the routine? It’s so hard when things take a backward step. In my experience it can happen so easily. Don’t be put off though, sounds like you were making great progress before and I’m sure you will get back to that. If he’s still blocked you might need a disimpaction week. Let us know how you’re gettting on X

Hey . He had a really good week back at school only one accident during the week . This last week has been a nightmare his had so many accidents at school it’s been really bad . I’ve been giving my little boy 4ml when he comes home from school which normally makes him go early morning before school and nothing till the next day , but for some reason the sp is not kicking in till later in the day which is causing really bad soiling accidents at school . So over the weekend I ve been giving him is meds earlier to se if that will make at difference I did last night and

He has been this morning so fingers crossed he will be back on track.
