Hi
Im Lisa from new to this site. Ive had epilepsy since I was 9. As I got older it continued & was finally diagnosed with epilepsy triggered mainly by flashing lights & stress.
Prior to Covid & me being diagnosed with interstital lung disease I used to go to 80s concerts & I've always had to wear dark glasses during the whole time
At one point I was fit free for 20 years & learnt to drive & on the 5th go passed my test & was given a car & was happy
In 2010 whilst at work I suddenly had a fit & banged my head on the pipe I was sat next to, ,& I was devastasted as Id been 20 years fit free
Once I recovered from it I was sent home & the first thing I did was inform the DVLA (in line with the law) to advise them I had had a fit after 20 years fit free & I would be surrendering my licence & did to
Ive not driven since- simply because Im longterm unemployed & cant afford it & now I have lung disease & have had 4 episodes of oxygen levels going dangerously low which ahs hospitalised me 4 times Ive decided its not worth driving again
So now I rely on my parents for transport
