Behavior after seizures-anyone experienced similar?

Hello, my partner was diagnosed with epilepsy 2 weeks ago, started with small focal seizures but had 3 massive clonic seizures which ended with him falling and smashing his head open 2 weeks ago. When my partner comes round from these it’s very scary, almost like he’s possessed, he tried to hit the wall, get into bath, I understand he has no clue where he is when he comes round but it’s very scary especially as we have young children and he’s so strong it’s hard to guide him away from danger (as he was falling about and into things). When researching about epilepsy and seizures it only really describes how after the seizure the person will sleep for hours I can’t find much about similar situations, has anyone else experienced similar to this?

Yes I have Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy, apparently after I have a seizure, I can do that, swear and shout at people, of course I don't remember anything about it. I have had epilepsy over fifty years, but my last episode like that [apparently?] was over the phone, the person was going to take legal proceeding against me, but all was explained to all parties. That was over 15 years ago, usually after a seizure I just end up being dog tired and sleep for a couple of hours. Although after a double seizure in Jan. 2018 apparently I must have done something akin to what you describe, fractured skull, various other injuries, but that I believe was due was a reaction to a new medication?

Thank you for your reply, this is really useful to read. My partner also becomes agitated and was swearing at the ambulance crew. I can’t imagine how stressful and scary it must be to have seizures like this.

Take care.
