Hi, has any experienced weight gain on carbamazepine/Tegretol?

Hi there – weight gain is listed as a possible side effect of carbamazepine in the online BNF: bnf.nice.org.uk/drug/carbam.... So if this is something that’s affecting you it could be worth talking things through with your epilepsy doctor or nurse.

Yes weight gain is one of them

Yes. I'm taking Carbamazepine for TN, and I've gained 20 lbs. over several years. Difficult to get the weight off, too. But the pain control is worth it.
