Disruption to vision

My tegratol has been increased to 1000 milligrams a day since this I have had blued vision and other disrupted vision it's hard to describe has any one expiereanced this.?

I was on it myself but because of this it was changed by my Dr as it was not seen as suitable. Blurred vision is listed as a common side effect that should be reported to your GP immediatly. DO NOT stop taking it though

Hi, I am currently on Carbamazapine and just had dosage increased also to 1000 milligrams a day... It is still in the early stages, but occasionally have blurred vision just after taking tablets, which seems to settle down. Mine is more headache related during the daytime which I will speak to the doctor about. If this continues, its possible the dosage is too high, but also give it time to adjust in your system. It takes at least a month-6 weeks to get in the system. Take it easy.

Yeah i no what you mean about headaches i have them 2 while increasing hope urs settles down soon they are going to decrease my lamotrogine and put me on Kepra with the tegratol so think i will go through a number of changes over the next few months

Hi all, i am new to this website and wondered if you could help? Im on a mixture of lamotragine and carbamazepine and recently my carbamazepine has been dramatically increased. in the morning u take 400mg of carb..and in the evening my dose is 800. sometimes the dizziness and blurred vision in the morning is bad. it doesnt happen every time.however i dont get it after the evenin dose. is there anyway i can lessen the side effects? like take tablets with milk?help :(

My vision gets like that. It really freaks me out. But its not dangerous and ur not alone in it. Although its bloody annoying . X
