Been epileptic for 35 years and seizure free for 21 years. About two weeks ago at church felt dizzy, panicking and shaking, had ct scan, mri and eeg. On eeg they did a 50 min recording and man said I have got 3 x 1 second of stuff he said Although was panicking so that may be it but really worried what it can be. As anyone else had panic attacks I'm on Lamotragine

Hello Kiera

It is often the case that people with epilepsy can in life start to get panic attacks. Sometimes, but not always these 'panic' attacks are known to replicate epilepsy. But are Not attacks of epilepsy. These are known as Non epilepsy attack disorder or psychogenic seizures

The best answer that I can offer to you is to contact your neurologist secretary and ask them to advise your neurologist.

Here's hoping that this helps you.

Hi Richard thanks a lot for your reply, think that's what I have as when I have one it feels like I'm going to have a fit but never do. Had episode they took me in hospital done ct scan, mri and eeg waiting for Neuro appt. Biggest fear is that will have to give up driving but know that can happen.
