Hi I suffer from grand mal epilepsy since I was 16 I'm now 58, it has been well controlled with medication and I haven't had a seizure for 15 years , but I get a aura just before a seizure, which I have had a few times but no seizure followed what could be causing this, I lost my daughter 2 and half years ago and don't always sleep well, should I see a doctor or is this normal any help would be great.

Hello I am very pleased that you have been epilepsy free for so long. However you must go to your doctor as soon as possible for a referral to a neurologist.

This is a must. I wish you well.
