Would you like to take part in a research study?

Researchers in Sheffield are currently exploring whether or not a writing intervention can help to improve seizure control and quality of life for people with epilepsy and/or non-epileptic attack disorder. This is a home-based study and the team is actively looking for people to take part. For more information and details of how to get involved, please click here:

Good day,

Thank you for this message. Is participation open to people in other countries or just in the U.K?

I am based in South Africa and may be interested if applicable.

Thank you.

Les

Hi Les, thank you very much for your message and interest. If you contact Gregg Rawlings (ghrawlings1@sheffield.ac.uk) who is running the study, he'll be able to let you know. All the best, Delphine

Hi Delphine,

Thank you.

I did sent Gregg Rawlings an email last night and hope to get his response soon.

Will keep you posted.

Les

Hi Delphine,

I am trying to get more information and it is only open to those in the U.K. They have another project I may be able to get involved in for them.

Writing is certainly therapeutic for me, and I love editing and writing stories and poems.

Will let you know after a response from Gregg.

Regards,

Les

Thank you Les, yes definitely keep me posted. In the meantime we have a 'real stories' section on our website, through which people who have epilepsy can share their experiences of living with it. Is this something that you might be interested in doing? They're usually about a side to a side and a half of A4 and we just ask for a photo to accompany them. All the best, Delphine

Here is the link to the stories we have up so far:

Hi Delphine,

Yes would love to send one in when applicable.

Regards,

Les

Delphine,

Please help... I followed the link but don't see a section 'to add a story'.

Any idea on how to navigate the site for me to add one?

Regards,

Les
