I have lived with epilepsy for 50 years, and can say that the first 20 yrs.were hit and miss, but after that they tailed off considerably. Have been seizure free for over 10 years, and take Phenytoin and Lamotrogine

Hi,

I have had epilepsy for 39 years, and am now 55 years of age. I must admit, I had a rough ride from the age of 16 onwards, till approximately 2 years ago. As Haydn74 has said, it has tailed off considerably and I hope it won't be long before I'm back to being seizure free, which I was once before. Gone 3 weeks so far! Medication taken is Phenytoin and Carbamazapine.
