I joined this site today because I’m struggling to come to terms with the fact I have endo.
I was diagnosed back in June and had robotic excision surgery on Tuesday just gone, where they found the endo had spread deeper into my pelvis.
I am recovering well so far, but I am now worried about future surgeries and the high chance of not being able to get pregnant. I am thinking about freezing my eggs but would really appreciate any insight into other peoples experiences with this matter.
Hope you’re all doing well x

First of all, much love to you. I’m sorry about your diagnosis, it totally sucks. I would say, try not to think or worry about future surgeries, you can only cross that bridge when you come to it and worrying about it now will only sup your strength and energy. Instead, tell yourself that IF you need further surgeries, you will deal with it then and you will have the strength for it then. You don’t need to have future strength now.
As far as fertility goes, endo can cause infertility but some women with endo still fall pregnant naturally. So it really depends on the person. It’s natural that you would feel worried about this. If time is not on your side then perhaps looking into freezing would give you peace of mind. If you’re younger though and time isn’t an issue then I would say, one thing at a time. Go easy on yourself, be kind to yourself, take the rest you need and deal with that when the time comes. Xx
hey Charlotte, I’m not 100% sure when I got endometriosis I was only diagnosed last 2018 myself. But had bad periods all my life. But some good news, I myself have 3 children. Of course it’s possible. Speak with your Gyno about your options and make it clear you want children in the future. I’m sorry for your diagnosis with endo xx
