Hi everyone

I’ve been having issues since 1st big lockdown and finally got diagnosed with Endometriosis in October and got operated on 3 weeks ago. However I’m now really getting exhausted and I mean really exhausted throughout the day I’m getting similar cramps to what I did at the start and I cannot lie on my side at all as it feels like my stomach is being tied in a knot and pulling, I’ve also been getting a lot of balancing issues where I’m literally walking into walls or falling over has anyone else had this? Please help xx

Request your lap notes from hospital it will give you all the details of lap and you can prepare for follow up.start writing your symptoms down as well....it's easy to forget one day /week to the next.

My symptoms returned with 3 weeks of lap...found out they hadn't removed any endo as they weren't experienced enough

Thanks so much I was wondering if it was normal or not I think I’m gonna try giving them a ring tomorrow did you experience any of the unbalancing moments? How is your endometriosis going on? Have you had it long if you don’t mind me asking

Yes I have balance problems and dizzy spells, I think it's because your body is constantly fighting the inflammation and the vagus nerve over reacts.I was finally diagnosed in 2017 but have struggled ever since my periods started at 11

I'm 47 now had second lap earlier this year and now waiting for hysterectomy and removal of bowel endo with possible endo on diaphragm to be investigated.

Yes give them a ring to double check...was that your first lap?

Yes very first one, I really struggled after the operation too! They was going to keep me in overnight

Ahh that’s horrendous I hope it will get better for you 😩🖤

I had to stay in over night with second lap....my heartbeat had dropped too lowyour still in the early days of recovery don't be pushing yourself too much....I know they say 2 weeks as a general guide but everyone heals differently maybe that's why your tired and dizzy....your body is trying to tell you to slow down

take care

I had my lap 3 weeks ago and I also cannot sleep on my side yet. I’ve searched online and supposedly you shouldn’t for about 4 weeks. I lost all my stamina after te lap as well and would get really tired. My energy levels are slowly getting better. My period was meant to come this week ( it’s late) so Ive been getting stabbing pain on my lower belly. It is my first lap as well so Im not sure if this normal.

I'd say that's normal...don't forget someone has been pulling and tugging on your insides and although a lap is less invasive than open surgery it's still surgery. as long as you don't have a high temp which could be a sign of infection. Your first period might be a bit heavier so don't be too alarmed by that. I hope all went well at lap for you

take care

Hi, The problem is with this disease it effects several areas and organs. A operation itsslf causes scars. The anesthetic takes months to come out of your system. It could be the anesthesia, having any operation can be worse on someone who already longterm was underpar. With Endo it needs to be controlled with a drug like Zoladex, you need to keep the inflammation down. Take plenty of VitC, D3 and zinc, get plenty of sleep and rest.

I have suffered with Endo since it started aged 10, by 32 my lungs bled most periods til 36.

After 1 huge life saving op at 26 and 5 operation by keyhole. Several cysts, twisted and bedded down organs. By 45 its everywhere. By 47 I could nolonger work. A pelvic clearance wa

snt going to fix it in fact with my disease I would loss my bowel and bladder.

Since I turned 60 it isn't as painfully but it is everyday. I can't do a lot of physical things, some days and for no reason I can find I won't be able to walk far before my stomach goes extended. I can't take the drugs anymore cos pancreas damage. I do take painkiller including morphine on bad days. The endo still has a monthly effect. My diet now without Banana, mushroom, soya, gluten, lactose, nuts, seeds and anything which is harder to digest as my bowel is less flexible. I drink more water, I take Mebrevine Fybrogel, twice a day. My Endo is still growing by a lot slower. My Specialist said its 1 of a few cases that's he has seen at such a earlier age.

When I was a child I don't know if this has anything to do with it but. I lived near a Govt. experimental Farm and also swam in river water by a small sewage distribution tank which at 9 to 10yr in the Countryside parents weren't there.
