My obgyn thinks I may have endo. Can some months (cycles) be less painful than others? Ob says my uterus is enlarged and slightly prolapsed.
Hi, yes, it's possible for some months to be worse than others. I didn't have much period pain, but every so often I would have a really bad period, where the pain would come on suddenly and would leave me doubled over. What kind of pain are you experiencing?
My symptoms start 4 + days before my period. Extreme lower back pain and thigh pain, some days to the point its painful to walk. Mild cramping during this time. Once my period begins the cramps are pretty extreme. I take so much ibuprofen just so I'm semi functional. Fatigue, its drains me. Sex can be uncomfortable during and cramping after for a few days or more. Bowel issues most months before and during. Ovulation (I think) causes cramping and sharp pains. My doctor suggested a hyterectomy (Uterus only hopefully) not so much for the endo but the enlarged/prolapse of the uterus and said he will look and remove any endometriosis during the hyterectomy. They will also be placing a midurethal sling due to bladder issues during this procedure as well. I just wanted to get a point of view from someone else experiencing the same things. I'm a little nervous about the procedures. Most months are pretty terrible but this month although still pretty uncomfortable nothing like last month. As I've paid more attention to my symptoms since discussing this with my OB.
*update* I guess I spoke too soon as it hit me pretty hard in the last 24 hours. Was hoping this month was going to be better and I guess in the back of my mind thought just may be it wasn't so and I wouldnt need the surgery.
