Rash??!! Meds?

Hey all,

upon returning home iv noticed a rash come up on both hands, nowhere else as of yet. Could it be from any of the meds? Was started on pregabalin and oxycodone yesterday. Just wondering if anyone has had anything simular??

Hi again Lisa. Poor you, you going through it aren’t you? On first look, that looks to me, a little bit like contact dermatitis. I would say, see if the rash spreads, if it does, make appt to see ANP at surgery. If not spreading, then you could try a bit of sudocrem, E45, or a cream called Aveeno, that works well for eczema and dermatitis. Try that. Elise. X

I grabbed some aveeno, rash hasn't spread thankfully!!!

If the dermatitis doesn't heal by itself with the Aveeno you can get a 1% hydrocortisone cream and apply that sparingly for a few days. You need to get it at a pharmacy counter. I get this type of rash on my fingers at times.

This could also be hives, you could be allergic to one of your meds.

Thanks for the replys,it seems to have settled down now. Most of it gone from both hands but very red. xx
