Hi everyone. I'm not sure where to start... I think I have endometriosis. I only had a normal scan where they didn't find anything abnormal. Yet I've received a combine pill from my GP. It helps a little bit with the symptoms. Although I do have a severe abdominal pain for example after work out or when I walk outdoors for a long period of time. And then symptoms like bloating, hard stomach, bowel problem, cramps, very low on mood etc. I know this is not normal. I would like the gynecologist to look at the problem and not the GP. What shall I do?

Hey, ask your gp to be referred to a gynaecologist however the symptoms you describe sound more like IBS in which a gastrologist (idk how to spell it) would help in that situation

Endometriosis and Ibs have similar symptoms which is why it’s hard to diagnose without surgery xx

Hi. Thanks for your reply. Before the pill, which I am now on for about a month, I've had problem with my periods. They were very irregular, and extremely painful. I couldn't move and the only way was having to lay down. No Painkillers would help. And my periods were very heavy with clots. I felt like vomiting, and I was very bloated. It looked like I was pregnant. My abdominal was very hard.

I thought that it might be another ovarian cyst, as two years before I had one ruptured and I was in hospital. But the scan didn't show anything. When I mentioned endometriosis to the GP, she's given me combine pill hoping that this will solve the problem. When I started my pill, I was constantly bleeding for over two weeks. That weakened me out so much. Some of the symptoms has eased but the other, that I've mentioned in the post are still there. I've read, that endometriosis can spread into other parts of the abdominal area.

Hi ladies. Since my last post I have done even more research and decided to go privately to see gynecologist. I had opportunity to do this in a different country and I think much cheaper. I've been suffering with these strange symptoms for so long. And it's getting worse and rapid now. Anyway, after the visit to the gynecologist I had all the scans and examinations done at the time of the appointment, and nothing was found. I then was refereed to do my blood and specimen tested. But the most important I was referred to do an MRI scan. The doctor said it was the non- invasion method of finding any abnormalities in my pelvic area when everything else had failed, and where laparoscopy might not be needed. I have had all my results come back and my appointment with gynecologist is today.

The results say, that the endometriosis wasn't found, but something else. I will consult my results with the doctor today and let you know what it is in my case. Thinking it might help others, like myself that were totally sure and totally wrong in the diagnose. X

Hi everyone. I have my diagnose from the gynecologist who I saw privately.

This is it:

Apparently the combine pill that I was been taking made my condition even worse. I stopped that immediately after the gynecologist had told me. I've had a different medications prescribed , which I must say after just 3 days of starting these tablets I could see the tremendous difference. I'm now back in the UK and will shortly be making an appointment to see GP.
