Hi I'm new to the site finding it very go... - Endometriosis UK
Hi I'm new to the site finding it very good iv just had my 5th zoldex injection an I'm still having periods has this happened to anyone x
Hi Claire.
I had 8 Zoladex I injections - with the last one in July.
I bled for the first three months, and it didn't stop the continual pain I was in.
Went to the gyne and under advice stopped the HRT. (HRT was also making me fairly miserable).
After that, no more bleeding, very little pain.
Waiting for my first period now... Preying I get lucky and have lots of months off
Hope you get something sorted soon!
Hot flushes are a bit mad without HRT - but worth it to not be in Pain every day!

Thanks I'm not on hrt still in lots of pain just want them to stop now so I can have a hysterectomy lets hope they stop soon thanks again for getting back to me
Good luck with the hysterectomy... It's a shame Zoladex doest work.. To be honest it was 4 or 5 months before I saw any real change in my symptoms.
Don't know what my next step is... It's a horrid thing.... But stay positive and keep smiling!
Good luck!
Hi there
I had my lap surgery for left salpingo-oophrectomy 15 days back. I was diagnosed with endometriosis 10 years back and had laprotomy for ovarian cyst. Now it reoccured and they removed the left ovary along with cyst. It was a key hole surgery and i was discharged from the hospital after 24 hours. I am now on Zoladex for 6 months as i have adenomyosis also. This is my first month of zoladex implant and i have some bleeding. I suspect its my periods however the bleeding is just for a day and flow was considerably less. I read it online that usually it take a month or two to cease menstrual cycle. Incase if you are still bleeding and flow is a lot, then you must consult the doctor. I also suspect that the drug has not been delivered properly.
Also there is nothing good about hysterectomy but bidding farewell to endometriosis must be a relief. I wish you good luck!
