Hi All,

bit a of a background i have been playing rugby since the age of 15 im now 37 and i suffered from Viral Encephalitis when i was 17 spending a month in hospital and I've had several concussions and head injuries while playing rugby. Now i know the difference between the two injuries but with CTE (chronic traumatic encephalopathy) being big news at the moment in rugby including my ex coach Jason Hobson (bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union...

What i was wondering if there is any research or links between the 2, for instance as i suffered from viral E would i be a higher risk then of also developing CTE after suffering concussions/head trauma's than someone who just had concussions?

Thanks

Mark

Hi Mark, if you haven't already, you could email support@encephalitis.info as Jon, our support manager, may have some knowledge or information.
