Reaching out to find someone to talk about their experience with my dear friend.

Hello,

I am sending a message out into space looking for someone willing to talk about their experience as a survivor of autoimmune encephalitis.

My friend has it since 2018 and she could really use someone to talk to. I don't know what to do/say to help her so I am just listening to her experience and it is heartbreaking. She is a funny, beautiful, amazing woman and seeing her struggle with the repercussions of this disease has led me to this message forum.

With her permission I am looking to get in contact with someone to discuss their experience with encephalitis because everyone agrees it might be good for my friend to talk to someone who has personally dealt with this disease. Preferably if you are a woman, I think that would be more pertinent to my friends situation. I would also like to learn more about the disease, more information is always appreciated.

Happy to chat. You can look at my bio and see if that sounds at all similar. If so, you can DM me.

Hi ROLLING_COMA

I’m more than happy to have a chat with your friend, and with you too if that’s helpful ❤️

All my info is on my bio too - although I wrote it when I first came out of hospital which was a while ago now.

Hello. Where are you based? The encephalitis society runs support groups. Here in London we have one where we meet online monthly and meet up every 2-3 months. It has been super helpful for my husband and I. Let me know if I can introduce you.
