Can't Stop Now (or The Fight For Freedom)

The fight for freedom,

The block of flats,

Money exchange,

Borodello.

Damp streets,

The lights continue

To burn today,

Je voudrais

So beautiful!

Slow down.

A life with other people in it.

Give over

One so young

Early humans

Money down the drain.

Can't stop now,

There are too many possibilities

To further situations

It's the original championship league.

Life goes on,

Life goes off,

Like a fridge,

There's a job going in the aluminium fields.

I must walk away

Until I learn to balance.

I'd never been cared for,

They gave me a book to read.

I'll have to ring the sheriff's office,

Sit down will ya!

Things generally get in on time,

It's the baggage claim that's the problem.

His car was full of rubbish,

There was no doubt about that,

He had it coming,

Let's go.

It was all in 3D,

I lost my stuff,

The same tune keeps repeating,

I wasn't thinking about nuclear power then.

Tell me why I'm in the dark,

Will fall,

I could have shot myself.

As I continually reflect

On life in the prilluim tank.

Life is short by a couple of inches.

I was dying and only I knew it

I was just trying to get comfortable,

I was the remnant of the freed slaves.

I love the ‘Fight for Freedom’ and the lovely photo accompanying it, Galdalf. I used to be an English teacher . You’d definitely have been my favourite student if you’d presented me with those words .

Thank you so much - I wasn't sure whether the Forum mods would OK a poem. But it seems they are fine with it. I'm still recovering - long sleeps seem to help and strangely a few glasses of wine seem to help this along. I'm thinking of ordering a USB Graphics pad too. My creative side is taking a while to gain strength. Anyway thank you again.
