Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to All,

I would like to thank all who post on this chat. It has been so helpful to me over the year or so to read your post. It helps me to feel connected to others who experience my husbands problems. It helps me to identify what might be happening to him.

My husband is making progress. After 15 months of working on his daily calendar, he was able to fill out his daily pages all by himself. He finally made the connection how the pieces connect together. I know we might have to go over everything again next week and that's ok. I celebrate every win.

Before encephalitis he was Mr. Fix It around the house. Recently he took apart our sweeper to clean it. Unfortunately he could not remember how to put it back together. We were able to laugh about it and I brought another one. I have learn not to let things brother me. I appreciate the fact he was trying to help.

I realize that routine is very important. When the routine is broken it takes both of us a while to get back to the routine. For example, at the beginning of December he had an operation for a removal of a kidney stone. It took two weeks to get back on schedule. But we made it back.

Thanks to everyone again for posting. I really appreciate it.
