I caught encephalitis last November in SE Asia. I spent 4 months in hospital and 6 months in a brain injury rehab. My short term memory is poor. I am SO sorry to hear that Jacobscedars. I can well imagine the impact that encephalitis is having on your partner and son. It's still early days yet. My heart goes out to you and your family.

I can't empathize though but I do sympathize a lot.
