Hi. New here. Am I barking up the right tree?

Not diagnosed yet but have joined the dots and hopefully have it right.

I have hyper extending knees, elbows and can put palms flat on the floor knees straight. Dad used to be the same he is 65 now so not as bendy.

Had stretch marks without weight loss, when I was a teen, teeth removed due to over crowding.

Loved twister as a kid. See stars or feel my heart pounding if I stand up quickly. And stretchy skin.

Compared this to my step mum who can't bend. And my dad and me look flexible.

Is it also correct eds can Inc miscarriage rates.

I also have endometriosis and hay fever both of which are auto immune.

Am I nuts or have I got this right? Tia lovely community people

Hi,

Yes, all those symptoms could be down to hypermobile EDS. Have you seen your GP about it yet?

The Royal College of GPs has a tool kit for diagnosing EDS and it might help if you read up on that, and take the link with you to your GP and ask them to diagnose you.
