6 years ago i contracted shingles from a work colleague. 3 months after that i had an accident at work which injured me to the extent i couldnt continue with my job. Add to that my employer ( the nhs) made my life a misery and gave em no support.
two years later, i was told i was to lose my job, a job id studied hard for at university and worked in for 20 years.
i woke up one morning and couldnt move a muscle. this was right out of the blue. i had been suffering from lower back pain ever since the accident, but otherwise i was quite able to move around. it took 6 hours before i could move. it was easter day, so i waited until two days later before i contacted my gp.
after 6 months of aching, vomiiting, extreme constipation, i was diagnosed with polymyalgia ( i was 48). six months later i saw a rheumatologist who advised i had hypermobility syndrome and fibromyalgia.
since then i have suffered from , muscle stiffness, vommiting, severe migranes, bowel mobility issues, urine retention, unable to concerntrate, unable to find the right words in conversation, forgetting what simple things are called, forgetting what to do half way through doing it, sweats but with cold extremities, crashing after small stresses or mobility, ie shopping, i get home and fall onto the sofa, in my coat etc, and sleep for up to 6 hours. in the evening, my eyes are blurred, my sleep is disturbed, i cannot get comfortable.my throat is hoarse.including my hips. In bed all of my joints hurt,
it takes me ages to do anything, i cant do fiddely things, like do up buttons. i forget what im supposed to do next quite often.
im sure i have been misdiagnosed and that i may have ME. my symptoms seem to be getting worse.
can anyone help me, please?
