I have discovered that if I have been more active than usual the bottom of my legs itch like mad!! scratching makes it worse. There is no rash just red where I have scratched. creams do not help, it will stop itching for no reason . I also have a section on my back which has started to behave in the same way. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Yes!

I suffer quite badly from this as well, especially at night when I find I have been scratching my legs with my toes!

Cold flannels helps the immediate sensation and I try to use argan oil to keep my skin in a better condition. I have found sudocrem helps when I have itched badly.

The ME has really fecked my skin on my body so a good natural oil based moisturiser helps.

I used to suffer from the same itchy feet. I tried iron and magnesium with no success. The doctor prescribed Clonazepam which helped. Last year I started on LDN which has seemed to have worked.

ok thankyou, I am not on any meds apart from prozac and lanzoprasole for acid reflux, I have just been diagnosed after 2 years, so maybe they will give me meds for that too.:)

Hi Hannalaura,

I occasional have that happen, where suddenly I will start to itch for no reason, then it is as if the itch moves and sometimes the next thing I know I am itching all over, although that is very rare, but inbetween the odd itchy times it can very annoying and also embarrassing, as you can get an itch in the oddest of places. What helps for me is antihistamines, claritin also known as Lortatadine. I hope that helps and wish you all the best.

Hi hanna, I've read through the suggestions and thought you might like to try a different way without meds first. I use baby oil on wet skin after a shower, and when the itching starts sudo seems to have more effect. Well that's what works for me, but with so many different symptoms, what's works for me might not for you. Know what you mean about itching in public, think most of my friends think I've got fleas!!

Yeah, I found that my sinuses itched like fury, drove me nuts, it's stopped now. Ahhhhh, there is a circular area between my shoulder blades, right where you can't reach it, grrrrrrrrr. If you wanted, you might try Kamillosan, it's a camomile ointment that is quite soothing.

Thank God I'm not the only one, yes I've had this itch for about a month now, and I use a nail brush to scratch with now as I've wore my nails down, or broke them. I've used everything I can think of to stop the itch, but nothing works, although I've showered in T-Gel & applied it on the nail brush, it stings like mad, but any relief is better than nothing.

I've got Fibriomyalgia with all the trimmings that go with it.

I've scratched till I bleed sometimes, it's so annoying.
