My blood taken every month before my infusion ( for GCA and rheumatoid arthritis) have been showing AKI every month for last 6 months.Im seeing a nephrologist in 6 weeks time, and don’t really know what to expect. I’ve been told my kidney function is 28 percent. I’m very worried at what’s going on.Any comments would be welcome. Thankyou

See your Nephrologist prepared with a list of questions of things you want to know. For example are the kidneys permanently damaged, what kind of diet do I need to slow the kidney damage, what is my prognosis and options? Take a list of all medications you take, illnesses you have, surgeries, allergies, etc.
