Can you please relate your question as to kidney disease?
If you have CKD and are wondering......you need to live your life. Just because you have kidney disease doesn't mean you shouldn't have fun. Bring your meds along and go on a holiday. I sure would!
It is easier abroad although after October it may be more difficult. Try Crete. Mesogiosis in Heraklion is a great dialysis centre. If you are in the same district they will pick you up from the hotel and bring you back no charge. Lovely people and dialysis is more efficient than here. Hope you get away
If you are going on holiday and are in need of dialysis, ask your center to arrange treatment where you will be.
Take all of your medications with you. I list them and the dosage, when taken, my allergies, and any medical conditions that I have on a piece of paper and keep it in a visible place in my wallet.
I recently was away for a few days. I took some foods which I eat as well as bottles of water with me.
When ordering in a restaurant, I stuck to kidney friendly fruits, toast and coffee. Salads with oil and vinegar dressing or balsamic on the side for lunch or dinner; onions, pepper and cucumbers. Grilled vegetables as an appetizer rather than nachos etc. I also ordered water or seltzer with meals.
Despite the heat, I was contempt and also came home without weight gain.
It's ordering smart and requesting foods cooked without salt.
