Having polyps it not unusual. When they are found during your colonoscopy (I assume this is how yours were found) they are sent for testing. There are generally 2 types. One is called hyperplastic and generally speaking they are harmless and never turn to cancer. The other are a type which is commonly called pre-cancerous (which means it could turn to cancer) or at the time of removal is cancerous. So your physician who found these should tell you what type you have and if any further action is required.
