Hi , As for most foods , only have things in moderation unless otherwise told by your local dietician at stage three , As for travel I would advise to go for it as long as you can , There are companies that do holiday insurance for people with pre existing health conditions , Your local renal association will have contact details of any local companies that do the insurance .

travel should be fine my husband never worried or had extra health insurance at stage 3 some people are already that stage & don't even know it! & almonds are ok only a problem if your phosphate levels are too high so for my hubbie who is on dialysis its a nono so go ahead & enjoy your trip x

Just seen this and agree with the above. I am stage 4 and visited my sister in Singapore with no problems. Get away as much as you can and while you are still feeling good xx re the almonds : my renal consultant says to me "everything in moderation and moderation again" ;)
