In the past 6 months i had 3 episodes, the longest was over a month. Fortunately I am retired but it was so hard to function. Ad this to my cervical dystonia , what a mess. After seeing the exercises prescribed, I tried it but was not able to do it, as soon as my head moved toward the trigger position, my head spun out of control, my heart raced,i was not able to do it. HELP arrived!! My doctor prescribed "Meclizine" tablets, i was desperate so I tried it...one before bed, the next morning the vertigo was less brutal so i ventured to do those exercises called " EPLEY MANEUVER" ( find on youtube). That second night before bed i tookthe second tablet just to make sure and next morning i opened my eyes..carefully moved my head on the trigger side and NOTHING happened...no spinning, got my LIFE BACK ! I carry that bottle of Meclizine just in case and it helps me to NOT panic, knowing there is a solution. Hope this can help you also for this " paroxysmal position vertigo" from hell.
