What is your best method of teaching spelling?

Has to be the use of phonics...... and combining with teaching reading and handwriting. Each supports the other, but phonics is the key surely.

I have found a reading /phonics programme Toe by Toe really useful for my children. There needs to be a lot of all round support though not just one thing.

I couldnt do phonics so i learnt by repetition, constantly saying and writing the words down until I got it right.
