my daughter is 17 and has only now just been told by the  learning support team  while attending college that she has mild dyslexia, she has struggled all through infant/ junior, at  high school  she was given 'extra time' and 'readers' during exam time, she has always struggled reading and writing,i just wonder why it was never diagnosed before but mostly im relieved that finally it has, what is the average age that dyslexia is diagnosed???,

  • It is estimated that 75% of dyslexic never know and just go through life thinking they are stupid or scatter-brained. I was in my late 50s before I found out.
