Hey all!

I have just started writing a blog about dyslexia and my personal experiences. I'm trying to post up one personal piece per week and a midweek piece of information (such as videos by famous people about their experiences with dyslexia or links to useful websites etc).

I am currently looking to find other people who blog about their own experiences with dyslexia. I am also looking for blogs that share helpful information on dyslexia as well as other websites that I can add to a links page.

It is in its very early stages (I posted my first blog yesterday), but I am hoping that it helps to inform and encourage people of the positives about being dyslexic rather than focusing on purely the difficulties.

The blog is called 'Dyslexia and Me' and you can find it here: thedyslexicstudent.wordpres...

Thank you very much and I look forward to seeing your blogs :)

Excellent idea! The more information that is out there, the easier people can find it. Also your blog will help others feel they are not alone.

I don't have a blog on dyslexia, but I do have a blog post. I am mildly dyslexic. I could always read, I just read slow because the letters keep hopping around. (Apparently that is not normal.) At the bottom of my post I have links you might find helpful. scablander.blogspot.com/sea... Feel free to swipe any links as well as the list of famous dyslexic writers. (Some day maybe I can get on that list.)

Good luck with your project. I'll be keeping an eye on it. Remember if you can help even one frustrated dyslexic, it will be worth it.

Thank you very much! I have put your blog post into a queue for my 'interesting links' which I'll be posting up on Wednesdays. I've also put your blog into my links by dyslexic writers. I don't feel that all the blogs by dyslexic writers has to be about dyslexia itself. It shows how diverse a bunch we are ;)

Hi AineMosh, how are you? Good on you to write Blogs on Dyslexia it demonstrating to non-dyslexic community that although you're dyslexic you have good knowledge of your own neurological and cognitive abilities to do things as the rest of society. Some employers and associates when I say I am dyslexic the first assertion that mean you can't read. When I tried to explain its effect on my everyday life they don't have time to listen. I find some people still think being dyslexic is a disease that one can catch. I have multiple disability and even have two degree and vast experience in health and social care, I find it hard to get work, I am getting the interviews but never the job. I wish you many success in your blog.

Thanks very much Gladys. That's the reason I wanted to do this, to show other people that you don't have to see dyslexia as a disability that holds you back. There are a lot of positives too :)
