Photograph location

Could someone please let me know where the photograph of what appears to be a dockyard - possibly Chatham in Kent was taken. As a former Royal Navy man, the site looks very intriguing.

Thank you very much for the information. Have visited the site and truly never knew of it's existance and have been enthralled by the content. No doubt HArtlepool was chosen for the strong links to the sea and the RN over the centuries and as a mustering point for so many of the Atlantic Convoys during WW2. Thanks again, very much appreciated
