Alcohol was the loudest voice I heard until my heart finally spoke louder. I had to get desperate enough to seek help. I hadn’t reached my bottom yet, but I could see what it would look like if I didn’t stop drinking. I was close enough.

You're welcome. 🙂Being sober is hard. People that have not been down that road don't know how hard it is when you get an urge. I get urges but I know I have to refrain from it or I'm back to square one all over again.

I understand, Itzallgood. Over time, I’ve come to perceive, when I see a bottle of alcohol, I see poison, not a friend. As in the Big Book it says we recoil. In actuality, alcohol is poison and not just for alcoholics. I know it’s a battle, but the battle is lessened when shared. Glad you’re here.

I see evil in it too. Makes you do things you normally wouldn't do. I had taken my clothes off once in a crowd. Embarrassing. Usually I'm quiet and reserved.😂

😂 We have to laugh at ourselves, right? That’s a good one. I used to get on all fours and bark like a dog. True alcoholic confessions. Lol A girl in an AA meeting said she’d go for a month without bathing. I could relate, but I didn’t have her courage to admit that. We’ve all been down that road one way or another.

Well..... When I don't drink. I use wit/humor to use as a crutch for not drinking.😂.
