Car driving licence revoked after a stroke - information

A stroke can affect your vision so that you no longer have 120 degrees horizontal field of vision, and the DVLA will revoke your licence. There is a procedure called "Exceptional cases" where you may be able to get your licence back. Go to gov.uk/guidance/visual-diso... and scroll down to Exceptional cases for details. The DVLA may require a driving assessment and, in my experience, they won't tell you that in March 2017 an expert panel said that exceptional case drivers should have refresher driving lessons with an approved driving instructor (ADI) for up to three months before a driving assessment.
