I have 8% Kidney function I have an appointment in September in the dialysis unit to see a doctor to possible have a tube fitted for PD, if I get my wieght down to 74 Kilos. So in 4 weeks I have to lose 12 kilos. Will they still do the op if I don't lose all of the weight by then?

I would get back to the consultant on this question as it seems to vary from one person and one hospital to another. You could phone the secretary in the department and ask if one of the medics can phone you when they are free to discuss the matter rather than wait for a further appointment. Tell them you are worried, our experience was that they are extremely keen to ensure patients understand what's happening and why and to support potential dialysis patients.
