I been on dialysis now for 3 1/2 years now I have polycistic kidney disease I am a single male with not the best insurance but it seems what I have heard before they put you on the list they want to know if you got lots of money lots of support which I am working on and a place to stay near the hospital just to get on the list it seems unfair only for the few or what

Transplant list
Well, I'm on the transplant list, don't have lots of money since i'm not working anymore due to dialysis and a heart condition, do have a fair amount of support from family and friends, but live about an hour and 20 minutes from my transplant hospital. Keep trying to get on the list because just about all problems are solvable. Try to find out if you qualify for Medicaid as well as Medicare (check with your local health care access help - in Massachusetts ours is SHINE counselors). Develop stronger connections with your family and friends, maybe you know people who live closer to your transplant hospital. Our senior center can also connect me with volunteer medical appointment drivers if I am unable to drive. Be creative and I wish you good luck!
