I've just come back from my post fistlaplasty scan to find that my flow rate is really high at 3500 and that I should have been seen earlier.....the consultant wasn't available and I saw a nurse.....
All I was told was that they will see me again in 2 months......
Does this sound right? Should I be worried about this?

Not sure at all, I would have imagined if you had a high flow that would be good. Not sure what the values mean but I will ask my renal nurse on Saturday morning when he comes to visit.
Surprised you did not see a consultant, I have a little stenosis after two fistulagram sand the plan is to have a fistulagram every few weeks.
I think you really need more advice from your renal team.
I always get a good explanation on anything renal when I ask for details
Settled down ok now. Most of the problems are self made, all part of the learning experience.
I do feel so much better and enjoying work so much more.
My renal nurse is so supportive and calls in once a week to check and see how things are going.
I cannot praise him enough, he is always available 24/7 on the phone, his choice as it is not part of his job to do so, he will even come out to me even outside his working day but I am conscious he has a life as well and as yet have not needed this sort of support.
I think in the new year I may consider nocturnal dialysis.
I too had a high flow for years- too high to be read by transonic. There were no problems though so we left well alone. At 17 years old, my fistula is narrowing in parts but otherwise it's still going strong.
