Hi bcss ,

As for your question about the frozen shoulder, can you go to your GP and get a prescription for a Physical Therapist to help with the physical therapy? I've had shoulder issues for many years and had to get physical therapy to fix the issues. How long have you had the frozen shoulder? Are you taking anything for the pain? Do you have frozen shoulder in just one shoulder or both? If it's in one shoulder, sleep on the side that doesn't have the pain. Also, try to make the pendulum movement with the arm/shoulder that has the problem. Please let us know what the doctor says and how you're getting on.

Get the sugar under control

Consult any ortho who will showyou some exercises to be done

Just 4 to 5 simple exercises

Do it daily twice .

Getting the sugar under control is top most important aspect in frozen shoulder in diabetics

My experience with frozen shoulder is - more pain from exercise more gain - faster recovery! Best exercise - hold the sideways of your doorway and push your body forward. Do it 5-6 times for 1 min each. Get sugar under control. Good luck.

Dear bcss: Learn from a nearby yoga teacher and practice mild loosening and breathing exercises. Be regular in doing so. You will get considerable relief. Avoid vigorous and strenuous practice, if you are 50 or over.
