I still have to come across any scientifically conducted study that establishes that any kind of gum helps reduce average blood glucose level.

Gum-like foods including porridge may perhaps restrict spike but its effect on A1C: according to my knowledge, is undetermined.

As per my information such gum is obtained from Babhul tree (may be plant belong to Acacia family.
