what is the maximum safe dosage of metformin ? I am now taking daily dosage of 1500mg . is it considered safe ?

2000 mg per day but can be restricted to 2X 850 mg .
2000 mg is max.dose perday. But it can be reduced to 2X 850 mg per day. Glucmet from USV is effective than other brands.
