Pre diabetes

I'm confused. My usual doctor said my levels were okay and no further action needed. She now has retired due to the stresses and strains of a really busy practice. I saw one of the new docs who said I was pre diabetic. I have really improved my diet due to familial high cholesterol. I don't understand the reading which is 44 mmol/mol. Would be grateful for advice.

Pre diabetic is like being a little pregnant. If your levels are elevated you are just a little further behind on the road leading to full blown T2. It means if you take action now with your diet your broken will be easier to fix!
